Okay guys I like to honest on my platforms when it comes to subscription boxes and product reviews since I’d like strangers to be able to trust what I say no matter if something was sent to me or not since I know what it is like to have a budget and can’t go out and spend tons of money on something that doesn’t work or isn’t worth the cost. Beauty Box 5 was one of those things that I LOVED when I first started to watch and receive their boxes then felt like since they already had my money they took me for a fool and sent nothing but junk. Last month was a step in the right direction but did BB5 get back on my good side this month? Continue on to find out!

This month’s theme is Hustle including items that will give you a bold look even during down time. To get ready without added stress, BB5 suggests prepping skin and throwing on a gloss since you’re always the boss of your makeup bag. Hmm..alrighty then.

Eslor Introductory Collection ($17.91): So at first I thought it was two packets of each item but they are actually all different products which is nice (peeling gel, mask, day cream, and cleanser) but the samples are so small you might only get 1-2 uses. The problem with this is that skin products are not something you can use 1-2 times and tell if it is working for you or not..so i’d much rather have had one item with a larger size. I’ll give them a shot though.

Elite Therapeutics Rosemary Eucalyptus Body Cream ($1.19): I am actually not a fan of rosemary or eucalyptus scents so i’m a little put off by this. However, it went into my skin nicely and wasn’t greasy or oily so I have to say the product itself seems to be great. While I wouldn’t use this all over my body because I feel the scent is too much for that, this will be nice for the hands and is a nice sized sample for that since you don’t need a ton of product.

Nanacoco Scandalous Thickening Mascara in Dark Brown ($4.99): I actually do not own any brown mascara because I prefer black but i’ll give this a shot since it is supposed to thicken lashes. I’ve heard mixed reviews from this particular mascara..I haven’t decided if i’ll open this or wait til i’m done with some others. Have you tried this before? Thoughts?

Styli-Style Line & Seal Twist Mechanical Eye Liner in Lapis ($4.99): Okay I have a small confession to make..i’m obsessed with blue eyeliners..I don’t even know why! I have quite a few but I don’t think I have any this particular shade. I feel like it swatched pretty decently as it is creamy and didn’t smudge too much.

Nanacoco Laugh Out Loud Lip Gloss in #22009 The Lift ($3.99): This is a nice pink lip gloss as it smells good and isn’t sticky. It actually smells like wine to me..please tell me i’m not the only one that thinks that! This might be my favorite thing in the box besides the eyeliner.

Total value: $33.07

The value of the box is decent but most of it came from skincare foil packets which I know skincare is expensive but still and I am a little peeved that there are two items from the same brand (lip gloss and mascara). I’ve been introduced to this brand with numerous other products and while it’s not the best, it’s also not the worst, but a little more variety in brand and types of products. I do like this box better than last month and I do think it is a step in the right direction still but i’m just not fully sold on this subscription service anymore. At the end of the day do I whole-heartedly recommend BB5? No. I’d say your money for a couple of months and get Boxycharm or Glossybox at $21 or get Ipsy or Birchbox that are $10. I have a year subscription so I have at least 3-4 boxes left but I have a feeling I will not be resubscribing with my own money and i’ll keep an eye on how they do and see if they reach out to work with me then i’d show the boxes again. I just feel for the value and the products that there are other beauty boxes that give you back value so much more and with better products, but that’s just my opinion.

So if you’re interesting in checking out my other BB5 boxes the tag will take you straight there.
