Type: Food Box
Cost: $10/month plus $2 shipping
What: Monthly subscription service with 8+ organic, all-natural, non-GMO, gluten-free, or free of artificial junk snacks! For every box bought, a meal gets donated to a hungry child with over 50,000 meals given so far! You can also purchase products that you tried and liked in their discounted store.
The box came in a little smashed this month but there is a plastic covering that was intact so I can’t complain too much since nothing got in or came out! This month’s theme is Fun at the County Fair and i’m pretty excited to try stuff with this theme. LWF does have a points program where you earn points for reviewing your items, referring friends, and signing up so that you can purchase the goodies you like from their store. Not a bad deal. Their itemized card is now a pamphlet with details on what you are receiving, a run down on the item itself, and even the ingredients! Love that they do that and that they donate food to hungry children here at home! There is also a pretty yummy sounding cookie recipe I might make and showcase here on my blog 🙂
Montreal Steak Spice Seasoning Potato Chips by Covered Bridge: Alright, I hate kettle cooked potato chips..I don’t know why I just do and for some reason subscription boxes love to send me them! At first these were okay, they tasted like steak seasoning but after a couple of chips the seasoning taste went away and it was pure salt. If you like really salty chips then you’ll like these, I didn’t.
Pineapple+Coconut Fruit Ice by Smooze! This frozen treat made with coconut milk and pineapple juice was perfect on a hot Florida summer afternoon! At first I wasn’t sure if I liked it because I never had coconut milk before but I was VERY surprised on how much I liked them after a few bites! These are sooo creamy and gluten free, non-GMO, and vegan! I would kill for a strawberry one and would purchase these!
Cinnmaon Grahams by Skeeter Nut Free: Oh my gosh these things are freaking adorable! They are just like teddy grahams but in SQUIRREL shape! I also love that you can literally pronounce every ingredient in these and they taste pretty good. My only complaint is that they are a little dry and I was craving some milk to go with these but overall I like them!! They also sent a coupon code for $1 off Skeeter products on Amazon, I might check that out!
Salty Peanut and Salty Caramel Salt Water Taffy by Salty Road: Okay I am not a fan of taffy AT ALL so I passed this on to someone else. They said the salty peanut was VERY salty and the caramel was good but lost its flavor pretty quickly. I’ll take their word for it.
Lollipops by YumEarth: I received two of these one in Sour Apple and the other in Pomegranate and I was really hoping for a strawberry! I liked these but I don’t think I would choose these over other flavors I know I like. Plus these are guilt-free, vegan, organic, and gluten free and remind me of my childhood. 🙂
Crispy Cheddar Crackers by Back To Nature: I’ve heard of this brand before because I work for a grocery store but I didn’t know they made a version of Cheez-Its. These were the perfect amount of crunch, cheddar, and quantity to go with my lunch! I would buy these.
Kettle Sweet Peanuts by Love With Food: Oh my, I was sooooo excited to try these and they were GOOD! The only problem is that peanuts give me acid reflux so unfortunately I won’t be finishing them and i’ll pass them on or use them in a recipe but I was really surprised with how good they were!
Nutty Rice Bites with Blueberries by 180 Snacks: These bite-size crispy clusters were interesting, but honestly they weren’t sweet enough for my taste…kind of like a rice cake clusters with blueberry and seeds. I wouldn’t go out of my way to find these. These are gluten free and vegan.
So that is my first Love With Food box and overall i’m pretty happy with it. Some items were a hit, some were a miss, and some were just okay but I still recommend trying out this subscription if you like healthier snack options! Plus you can get your first box free to check it out!
